The Vision Behind It
The Harlow Street Remodel was a full interior transformation of a four-storey Manhattan townhouse that had remained largely unchanged since the 1980s. The brief from the client was clear — strip it back completely and rebuild the interior as a sleek, modern home worthy of its prime location, without touching the protected exterior facade.
Scope & Execution
How We Delivered It
Working within the constraints of a heritage-listed exterior, Borcelle Builders completely gutted and rebuilt the interior across all four levels. The scope included a full structural reconfiguration to open up the ground floor, a bespoke new staircase, luxury kitchen and bathroom installations on every floor, new HVAC and electrical systems throughout, and custom built-in storage and joinery. The project was completed in 7 months and delivered one of the most dramatic before-and-after transformations in our portfolio.
